Got out of work on Friday at 4:30 - this is still a cause for wonder.

Engagement party was lots of fun and rather drunk, got to see lots of people I don't see anything like enough.

Bond was as good as everyone has been saying.

I'd write at more lenght, but the post party tidying was interupted by Bond and we need to vac up the dog hairs before we let the chins out.

For the very few of you who haven't heard already, I proposed to Abi on Monday night and she accepted! We're looking to set a date some point next year and will be announcing an engagement party shortly.

I'd froth insanely about Artificer and Centre Parcs, but the immense amounts of fun that both were pales in comparison to the whole engaged thing.

Oh and we were both really touched to discover that Nev and Sean had decorated our house with balloons and congratulations banners in our absence. You’re both great!

'Chaps in the speeder, 5 rounds rapid.'

[livejournal.com profile] elektrobard's game was great as always.

Our phone is currently out of action due to Chinchilla damage. Please call my mobile if you need to get hold of us. We should have a replacement phone soon...

On behalf of my better and more talented half...

Due to holiday-booking issues for one of the people involved, Artificer is in need of a competent and experienced female role-player for a key NPC role.

The event is from the 29th of September to the 1st of October and is at Tatton Park Scout Camp in Cheshire, just South of Manchester.

All other NPC and Player places are fully booked so this is a last chance this year.

If you want to know more about the event I'm only a player but will happily froth or take a look at www.lalenth.com

If this appeals let me know and I can pass on contact details to Abi.

Jon's 30th was good if a little blurry and the cocktail of doom was surprisingly drinkable. It was really cool to catch up with people I've not seen properly for years while listening to a DJ set that was pure 'When I was a student'.

I go to collapse again and recover from my hangover some more...

The End of Pagga piss up is still on today at The Salisbury in Manchester from 5pm onwards. This is despite Ed being especially Ed like and not being able to get to a piss-up he's arranged himself. :) But what the hell, it's an excuse to sit in the pub on a Saturday evening.

Abi can't find Chiara's contact details and needs to get hold of her for Artificer reasons.

Can someone pass either mine/Abi's contact details to her or pass hers this way please.

Just for the record, Abi knows it's down and Sean is working on it.

That was a public service announcement brought to you by: My computer is on and Abi's is downstairs.

We'll be in Sinclairs from 2 - 3ish.

That is all.

It's my 30th of the 14th and Abi's 25th the day before.

As we are both far too disorganised and busy to arrange anything before hand (that and valentines weekend isn't the best time to get people to go out) so we are going to having a get together on the 25th.

Current plan is meet up at Sinclair’s in the late afternoon/evening and then probably end up back at ours at some point when it starts getting seriously late. Silly drinking games may or may not occur, but general multipurpose drinking certainly will.

This is probably old news but my favourite radio station is going to start a Manchester station some time early this year.

It'll be nice to actually be able to listen to decent music up here for a change and may even lure me away from Radio 4 before the draw of The Archers becomes too strong and I irrevocably turn into my parents.

I've finally bought myself some and spent the afternoon improving our anti-chinchila defenses.

No more shall our books be eaten!

New face!

The wonderful Russel Smith now has an LJ - it's over at [profile] elektrobard.
If you don't know the wonderful Russ then I can only say you're missing out.

[livejournal.com profile] wiserabbit's parents had a copy so we borrowed it. Just finished watching the whole thing again and the theme music still makes my hair stand on end.

The effects and the ending were both classic BBC shoddy, but it was still lots of fun. The only problem now is that I'm sure there was another spooky pagan infested childrens show from around the same period, possibly involving an evil tree, but I can't remember what it was about or what it was called.

Anyone got a clue?
